CFacil is an offline-capable web client, not a cloud app with an offline afterthought. Work is captured locally first and synced when the connection returns, so an inspection is never blocked by a dead spot and evidence stays tied to the moment it was recorded.
- Capture without connectivity. Responses, findings, and evidence are saved locally and queued, then synced automatically once the backend is reachable again.
- Honest, debounced connectivity. A single heartbeat decides online or offline state and confirms each change with a second probe, so a momentary blip never throws a false "connection lost" while you work.
- Transparent sync status. Every record shows whether it is local-only, pending, syncing, synced, in conflict, failed, or blocked, so nothing silently goes missing.
- The server stays the source of truth. Offline records are treated as untrusted input and revalidated on sync, so authorisation and data integrity are never delegated to the device.
Offline security at rest
Sensitive fields are encrypted before they ever touch browser storage. The decryption key is issued per user, held only in memory for active use, and cleared on lock or logout across every open tab.
Policy-driven unlock
Choose the local protection that fits the deployment: no extra unlock, a profile PIN, or a dedicated passphrase, with retry lockout and terminal wipe behaviour.
Automatic recovery
When the API returns, CFacil shows a brief "Back online" notice and resumes syncing queued work. Background tabs pause probing to save resources.
Resilient by default
Audit lists and context are cached locally, so a site visit can begin and end without ever reaching for a hotspot or a notebook.
